GLOSSARY / PACKAGING & RETAIL

Jewelry Display

In brief

A jewelry display is a merchandise fixture that presents jewelry on the sales floor, usually as a floor or counter display. In retail, it combines presentation, assortment and price labeling, making jewelry sellable even where no sales advice is available, for example in grocery retail or on promotional spaces.

The main types of display

Type Use
Counter display Checkout zone and impulse areas with limited space
Floor display Dedicated space in the aisle or on a promotional space, greater assortment depth
Promotional and themed display Temporary placements for occasions such as Mother’s Day or Christmas
Brand display Permanent presentation of a brand in the brand’s look or in the retailer’s corporate identity

What matters in planning

  • Space and environment. How much space is available, how high is the footfall, and who shops there?
  • Assortment and price points. Clear price tiers help shoppers decide without sales advice.
  • Planogram. A planogram defines which item goes on which hook or slot. It makes stocking and reordering easier.
  • Packaging. Cards or jewelry boxes must match the display so that products hang securely and are clearly visible.
  • Servicing. Who sets it up, who reorders, and when is it reset?

Reordering by slot

When the planogram and the ordering grid are aligned, items for individual slots can be reordered in a targeted way. This keeps the display full without tying up capital in slower-selling stock.

How we handle this at Aviano

With Aviano Display Concepts, we plan floor and counter displays for grocery retail, chain stores and promotional formats, with a matching planogram on request. We work with retailers starting from a single store. Displays are available in the look of an Aviano own brand or customized in your corporate identity. Reorders are placed via our online shop, by email or via EDI connection, by planogram if desired. Initial setup and resets can be handled by our team or a partner network on request.
